Christ Chapel Finds a Place to Call Home

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Provident Ministries International, which includes Christ Chapel, Feeding The Nations and Provident Network, announces that it will soon have a new home. The group recently purchased the former St. Mary's of the Assumption school and parish located at 3402 Locust Rd., South Bend. A celebration and grand opening of the new location will take place August 1, 2 and 3.

"We are excited to have a place to call our own - a home that will allow us to grow and celebrate life together through weddings, dedications, softball games, picnics and more," said Pastor Steve Sumrall, founder and president of Provident Ministries. "This new location will give us a chance to create a home, increase our church family and further develop in our community."

After renting office and worship space for three years, the property will soon become the headquarters for Provident Ministries, holding Christ Chapel weekend services and events, and housing all the offices. Provident is currently preparing the space through minor renovations such as new carpet and paint.

"For the past few years, our ability to come together and grow has been restricted since we didn't have a place to call our own. Now we are free to stretch out our arms and plant roots. We welcome everyone to join us during our grand opening celebration in August and hope that many will choose to become part of our growing family," Sumrall added.
