Help Save Lives in India

India, a country where Christians are less than 2% of the population, recently this  minority group has come under extreme persecution from Hindu militants. It is estimated that over 500 Christians have been killed by mobs in Orissa, India, since late August. The latest news is that Hindu extremist groups are offering money, food and alcohol to anyone who kills a Christian, and the bounty for a Christian leader is currently $250 USD. 

Christian families have fled to the jungle, where they are living in terrible conditions, without food or clean water. Many are suffering from wounds inflicted from the militants or from diseases contracted since living in the jungle. Thousands of homes and churches have been destroyed.

Provident Ministries and Feeding the Nations is partnering with a non-profit organization in India to move Christians out of persecution and into safety.

The cost of transportation, food and shelter during the roughly 470 mile journey to safety is $150.00 per person.
